Output Usage Policy
Last updated: May 12, 2026
The Apple Standard EULA governs your license to use the app. This Output Usage Policy explains how you may use images exported from Dotdotbird.
1. Definitions
App Assets means the birds, accessories, palettes, thumbnails, UI images, and other built-in materials included in Dotdotbird.
Output means a finished image created and exported by a user through Dotdotbird's Export feature or a similar app feature.
Project Data means saved data used for re-editing inside the app, including snapshots, layer information, and project-file-like data.
2. Allowed Uses
You may use Output made with a legitimately obtained copy of Dotdotbird and, when applicable, purchased accessory packs for personal projects and commercial projects within the limits of this policy.
Allowed uses include social media, chats, profile images, blogs, websites, videos, streams, newsletters, presentations, personal brands, small businesses, stores, clubs, independent creator activities, client work, printed items, merchandise, and use as part of games, apps, or web services.
You may resize, crop, color-adjust, combine with other materials, add backgrounds to, and otherwise adapt Output as needed. Credit is not required, but Made with Dotdotbird is recommended when you choose to include credit.
3. Prohibited Uses
You may not extract, copy, redistribute, sell, license, or repackage App Assets as standalone materials.
You may not distribute Project Data or in-app snapshots in a form that lets others reuse them as materials.
You may not sell or distribute Output in a way that makes Dotdotbird's built-in birds or accessories available as standalone assets.
You may not sell or distribute large collections of Output as stock images, clip-art sets, icon sets, asset packs, or templates.
You may not include App Assets or Output in competing image generators, dress-up tools, asset libraries, or asset marketplaces.
You may not register or claim App Assets, or substantially similar images, as exclusive trademarks, service marks, logos, character rights, or similar exclusive rights.
You may not use Output in illegal, discriminatory, defamatory, misleading, adult, violent, harassing, or rights-infringing contexts.
You may not use Output in a way that suggests an official endorsement, partnership, or approval by Dotdotbird, Birnimal, Apple, or any third party.
You may not use App Assets or Output to train, fine-tune, or create asset libraries, datasets, or image-generation models that compete with Dotdotbird.
4. Paid Accessory Packs
Output made with purchased accessory packs receives the same usage permission as Output made with free materials.
Purchasing an accessory pack does not transfer ownership of, or redistribution rights to, the assets in that pack. It only allows you to use those accessories inside the app to create Output and use that Output under this policy.
If a purchase is refunded, cancelled, or otherwise no longer valid, in-app access follows the StoreKit purchase state. Output legitimately created while the purchase was valid may continue to be used within this policy.
5. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for how you use your Output. If you add third-party names, brands, logos, characters, images, text, or other protected materials to Output, you are responsible for obtaining any rights or permissions needed for those additions.
Dotdotbird does not guarantee that Output is unique, trademarkable, or available for exclusive use.
